Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite Book Quotes

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week is all about favourite book quotes. This topic is actually a really exciting one!

When I’m reading I often come by amazing quotes but I always forget to write them down! So I am really glad this topic came up as I can re visit and actually remember some of my favourite book quotes!

1) It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends” – Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone.

2) As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.” – The Fault in Our Stars.

3) As much as life can suck, it always beats the alternative.” – Paper Towns.

4) We do not remember days, we remember moments.” – All The Bright Places.

5) “Without the threat of suffering, we can’t experience true joy.” – Scythe.

6) “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.” – To Kill a Mockingbird.

7) “So Matilda’s strong young mind continued to grow, nurtured by the voices of all those authors who had sent their books out into the world like ships on the sea. These books gave Matilda a hopeful and comforting message: You are not alone.” – Matilda.

8) “After all this time?” “Always,” said Snape” – Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows.

9) “Dreams are only dreams until you wake up and make them real.” – It’s Kind of a Funny Story.

  1. I loved All the Bright Places, and almost included a quote from it on my list. I decided instead to revisit the favorite quotes topic in the future (I have way too many!) and maybe go with themed lists. I might do an all YA list, and if I do, something from that book will definitely be on there. 🙂
