It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #16

Hosted by The Book DateIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Is a weekly meme where you share what you have recently read, what you are currently reading and what is up next on your TBR list.

Happy Monday! The start of another hopefully great week. It was a funny old week for me last week as I was so busy and didn’t have the chance to even think. I hope your week wasn’t as busy as mine.

Read Last Week

There’s been a lot of hype about I Was Born For This and when I first started reading I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. I was wrong though! I loved this book! I’ll admit boy band lit isn’t something I usually read but this was different. You to see the issues being famous can cause someone, especially with regards to mental health. It’s one of my favourite YA Contemporary reads of the year so far.

Currently Reading

I read Scythe a few months ago and became obsessed and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Thunderhead when it came out in UK. As soon as it was released I got a  copy and let me tell you now I am still obsessed. I am loving how the story is progressing and this is definitely a series that I am hooked on.

Up Next

I am trying to work my way through my Netgalley TBR shelf and Smoke in the Sun is the next book up. This is the sequel to Flame in the Mist which I did enjoy, so, I am looking forward to seeing how this story develops.

  1. I'm glad you have found some enjoyable books. I'm still being too distracted by real life to concentrate. I have a feeling that the books I'm reading aren't going to stay in long-term memory. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I'm loving that cover for Elemental Lies. And glad you had a good reading week. Mine wasn't so good reading- wise but maybe this week I can pick up the pace. 🙂 Have a great week!
