The reading experience is always improved when we have a cosy, comfy place to read in right? Well it is for me anyway. Nothing is better than settling down in a perfect spot and delving into a good book.
So, for day 5 of Blogtober I thought I would share with you some of my favourite, cosy places to read.
1) In bed
– I tend to get the majority of my reading done at night just before I go to sleep. It helps me relax and unwind after what is usually a busy, stressful day. I especially love it when I have fresh bed sheets on and I can just snuggle up under the duvet. It really is blissful.
2) On the sofa
– At home, when I’m not reading in bed I am more than likely reading on the sofa all curled up. I especially love doing this in the colder months as I tend to wrap a blanket around me too.
3) In a coffee shop
– This may be a weird one to some but I adore reading in coffee shops. There’s just something magical about reading a book in that kind of environment. I guess it also helps that I am a big coffee lover and caffeine fiend.
4) On a train
– I travel on trains a lot and my journeys would be incomplete without a book. Reading on a train makes time go a lot quicker and it just seems a beautiful thing to do when you are speeding past gorgeous countryside.
5) In a park/out in nature
– I specifically love reading in parks or out in nature in the autumn time when the leaves are browning and there’s a slight chill in the air. There’s just something so enchanting about it.
6) Library/Bookshop
– Well, what better place to read a book than in a library or bookshop? You are surrounded by books and it just makes you feel a part of it.
Well there we have it – there are my favourite/cosy places to read. What are yours? Let me know in the comments!
Yep, bed is definitely my top reading spot too, especially with fresh bedding like you say. Although since having Peapod I don't get to read in bed much – my number 1 reading space at the moment is my rocking chair while I'm feeding!
