Christmas Songs Tag!

I thought I would do a tag for todays post! This is the Christmas Songs Book Tag and was created by That Artsy Reader Girl.

I’m not going to tag anyone, but feel free to do it if you wish!

1. “All I Want for Christmas Is You”: Favourite bookish couple.

Ohhh I know they weren’t offically together but I ADORE Scythe Farady and Scythe Curie from the Arc of a Scythe series. They gave me all the feels!

2. “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”: Name a book where a character is away from home (school, vacation, etc.).

S.T.A.G.S and D.O.G.S by M.A. Bennett. Greer, the main character is at a prestigious boarding school.

3. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”: Name your favourite “little” book (children’s book, short story, novella, etc.).

I love Fantastic Mr Fox! I have read it many times, and am reading to kids at work. It’s just funny, charming and that cunning mischievous fox gets me every time.

4. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town“: What book(s) do you hope Santa brings you this year?

I have asked for two books this Christmas. First is The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern and the second is The Beast of Buckingham Palace by David Walliams. Both are books that I am dying to read asap.

5. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”: Which book turned your nose red (made you cry)?

The Fault in our Stars. Every. Single. Time!

6. “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”: Your favorite book/kind of book to read during the holidays.

I really love reading feel good contemporary fiction that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I also seem to go on a Chick Lit binge around Christmas.

7. “We Three Kings”: Your favourite trilogy.

Isn’t it obvious? It has to be the Arc of a Scythe series by Neal Shusterman. I am OBSESSED!

8. “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”: A character you would love to be snowed in with.

Matilda. We’d just read books and have interesting conversations about literature.

9. “Last Christmas”: A book that seriously let you down.

This might be controversial but We Hunt the Flame. I was so excited to read it after all the hype, but I just couldn’t get on with it. It was so slow to get into and I found the writing style hard to figure out.

10. “White Christmas”: An upcoming release you’re dreaming about.

One of us is Next by Karen M. McManus. I love her books and cannot wait for this highly anticipated sequel to One of us is Lying! Bring on 2020!

  1. This is a fun tag! I really enjoyed it! I might end up doing it later this month! I’m glad you enjoyed the Scythe books, they’re at the top of my TBR list!
