Synopsis
This thrilling debut, reminiscent of new fan favorites like One of Us Is Lying and the beloved classics by Agatha Christie, will leave readers guessing until the explosive ending.
Welcome to dinner, and again, congratulations on being selected. Now you must do the selecting.
What do the queen bee, star athlete, valedictorian, stoner, loner, and music geek all have in common? They were all invited to a scholarship dinner, only to discover it’s a trap. Someone has locked them into a room with a bomb, a syringe filled with poison, and a note saying they have an hour to pick someone to kill … or else everyone dies.
Amber Prescott is determined to get her classmates and herself out of the room alive, but that might be easier said than done. No one knows how they’re all connected or who would want them dead. As they retrace the events over the past year that might have triggered their captor’s ultimatum, it becomes clear that everyone is hiding something. And with the clock ticking down, confusion turns into fear, and fear morphs into panic as they race to answer the biggest question: Who will they choose to die?
Amy’s Thoughts..
If you know me well, you will know that I love a good YA Thriller, and having read ones like One of us is Lying and A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder I was on the lookout for a new one to sink my teeth into. So, when I found out about All Your Twisted Secrets I knew I had to get my hands on it and dive in.
All Your Twisted Secrets follows six stereotypical teens (the queen bee, star athlete, stoner, loner, valedictorian and music geek) as they are invited to a special scholarship dinner, or so they think. Instead of enjoying a luxury dinner they find themselves locked in a room with a bomb, a syringe filled with deadly poison and a letter saying they must choose someone from the group to die or they all will.
Wow! is the first thing I want to say about All Your Twisted Secrets! It was such a fast paced read that kept me on my toes throughout! The twists within it had me addicted and I literally couldn’t put it down. Honestly, I was hooked on this book and knew I’d found another great YA Thriller.
I went into knowing that I was going to be dealing with the stereotypical American high school teen trope, and I was bracing myself for it to be slightly cheesy. However, I was proven wrong! Yes, we did have the queen bee, the jock, the quiet one, the loner etc but throughout the story we got to see the person behind the mask, and this made the stereotypes fade out and each character, in my opinion, developed into a fully fledged three dimensional person.
What I enjoyed about the plot and the way the story was told was the alternating time jumps from the six teens locked in the room to past events that had ultimately led to them being in their present situation. I loved getting to know some back story on the characters and as stated, this made them all seem more life like to myself. The plot itself, had many twists and despite guessing, I had no idea it was going to end the way that it did. My mouth was literally open with shock when I discovered the final revelation within the story. All Your Twisted Secrets really did take me on an adrenaline inducing, heart stopping journey.
All Your Twisted Secrets was such a powerful, gripping read that had me obsessing over every single word. It had everything you could want in a YA Thriller and honestly, I still can’t get over that ending.

I keep seeing this everywhere – I’m glad you enjoyed it!
