Let’s Talk Books Book Tag
The hyped book you can’t wait to read

I have heard some amazing things about this book from early reviews. I’ve preordered it and I cannot wait to receive it!
The important book you’ve read (or on your TBR)

This is on my TBR and I have an e-arc which I’m hoping to get to very soon. From the synopsis I can tell it’s going to be very significant and eyeopening and I know for sure it’s going to be a book I will devour.
An upcoming book by a LGBTQ+ author you’re really hyped for

A few people have told me about this book and after looking into it, I have a feeling it’s going to be incredible! It’s been sold out everywhere recently, but today I finally found somewhere that was selling it. I’m so excited to read it.
A book on your TBR that you will think will be a 5 star read

This just sounds incredible! A few of my bookish friends have read it and can’t speak highly enough of it, so I have a feeling it may be a 5 star read for me.
The book hangover book

The last book that gave me a book hangover was Cinderella is Dead. It was INCREDIBLE and the way the story was told was mindblowing.
An upcoming book by a Black author you’re really hyped for

I read Dear Martin a few years ago, and it was such an enlightening, empowering read. So, I am very excited to read the sequel Dear Justyce. I have an e-arc and I am hoping to get to it very soon.
The book you’d recommend everyone read

It has to be Nothing Ever Happens Here. This is MG book about one family as they come to terms with one of them coming out as Trans. I have never read a MG book featuring a Trans character before, and I feel that it will definitely be a worthwhile read for anyone wanting to learn more about the Trans Community.
A book that surprised you recently

Fall Out was a book that I was intrigued by, but wasn’t sure what to expect from. It ended up being a thought-provoking, gritty, emotional read that I was captivated by. Definitely worth a read.
An upcoming book by a POC author you’re really hyped for

Well, this book just sounds INCREDIBLE! A Romeo and Juliet retelling set in 1920’s Shanghai? Erm yes please! I am rather looking forward to getting this when it’s released on 17th November.
A book you think would make a great film or TV series

Potkin and Stubbs is written in a way that is very visual and you do get that film noir feel when reading it. I think it would make a great anime style TV series.
