My August TBR

Now this is a post I haven’t done in a long time! I haven’t set myself a TBR for a long while now, as I’ve just been in the mood to mood read. However, now that I am getting back into blogging and integrating myself back into the book community I wanted to start setting monthly TBR’s again. This is mainly to help me get through my arc’s and to pick up books that I haven’t picked up yet.

In these post forthcoming I will mention any readathons/readalongs that I’m taking part in, and then jump into my main TBR.

What are you reading in August?

I am taking part in three this month, and all are ones that I’m really excited about!

First up is Pixarthon which is being hosted by the wonderful Lily at Literary Lily. This is a readathon all about…you guessed it Pixar movies. It’s running from 1st – 31st August and I am highly excited. I have done a post mentioning more details about the readathon and my TBR and you can check that out here.

Next is Polarthon The Meltdown which is being hosted by the lovely Jade at JadeyRaeReads. This is a mini version of Polarthon which takes place at the start of each year. The Meltdown is a 36 hour readathon and this is because we only have 36 hours to save the world! The theme of the readathon is global warming and saving the planet. I will leave Jade’s announcement video here if you want to check it out.

And lastly I’m taking part in Frostheartalong hosted by the incredible Gavin at How To Train Your Gavin. In anticipation for the release of the third book in the Frostheart series – Rise of The World Eater, Gavin is hosting a readalong of the first two books. In August we are reading Frostheart and in September we are reading Frostheart 2: Escape From Aurora. I have already read the first two books in the Frostheart series, but I’m looking forward to rereading them – 1) because I adored them the first time around and want to relive the magic and 2) so I can get even more hyped for book three. Check out Gavin’s announcement video if you want to know more.
