Hello

Welcome to my cosy bookish corner of the internet!
I’m Amy. A twenty something award nominated book blogger and School Librarian living in Ipswich, UK. I spend most of my time reading, drinking coffee and trying to finish writing my novel.
I am currently accepting books for review.

I picked up the winner of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize last week and I’m pretty excited to get stuck into it! It sounds like a heart wrenching, gorgeous read and one that is right up my street!
I rushed to my local Waterstones after work yesterday to grab one of my most anticipated reads of this year as they had a few in stock early! I’ve never read a middle grade featuring a non binary character before and I’m excited to get into it! Books like these are so important and I am looking forward to sharing this with students at work! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
I’m so happy to finally have a copy of Boy Like Me by the wonderful @simonjamesgreen! I adore Simon’s work and this is one of my most anticipated releases of this year and I can’t wait to dive into it! 🏳️‍🌈💖
I literally screamed when I opened this package, which arrived just in time for Valentines Day!
This book! How can I begin to describe my thoughts on this book? Well, for starters it’s the ya thriller that I didn’t know I needed in my life. From the very first chapter I was addicted to the gripping plot that had my heart racing and I couldn’t get enough! The concept behind the story was unique and this was one of the reasons why I was pulled in. You are taken on a journey of twists and turns that leave you unable to speak come the end. This Book Kills is my first 5🌟 read of 2023 and I have a feeling it will be a contender for my book of the year.
I have such a cosy reading spot in my flat which I love! It’s so nice to just be able to curl up and lose myself in a book for a while, especially with how busy I have been lately.
Hello everyone! It’s been a while hasn’t it? I’ve been so useless at keeping my bookstagram going but I have had a lot on. I started my new job a few weeks ago - I’m now a Secondary School Librarian at a lovely school. It’s taking me a while to adjust as I’m still partly in a primary school mindset but I am loving the role so far! I get to talk about teen and YA fiction all day so it’s perfect for me. I’ve also finally got back into reading after a long reading slump. My goal this year is to read 52 books. A book a week is doable for me I think, especially with how busy I am going to be.
Holly Jackson is honestly the queen of YA Thrillers! I’m 100 pages into her latest - Five Survive and I am hooked! Thankfully it’s now my Christmas holiday so I have lots of time to read it!
Operation Nativity was a hilarious yet heartwarming read from the wonderful @j_c_pearson who is becoming one of my favourite mg writers of comedy. The festive bonus made me feel all warm and Christmassy and it’s definitely one you need to pick up this festive season 🎄🦃🎁
